He joined the network in October 2004 as an anchor/reporter from KVUE-TV in Austin, Texas.
During his first year, Michael's outstanding work was recognized with the 2005 Capital Region Emmy Award for Best Sports Anchor. He was nominated for an Emmy again in 2006, this time for Best Sports Reporter. Michael is also a four-time recipient of the RTNDA/Edward R. Murrow Award for both sports and news reporting, even winning a national award from the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum for his story about real-life cowboys.
